Drone
Drone works on different applications of Unmanned Aircraft Systems!
Background
Our project aims to develop an autonomous drone capable of navigating indoor environments using Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) algorithms combined with efficient pathfinding techniques. By integrating Visual SLAM, the drone will accurately track its position and orientation, while the pathfinding algorithms will ensure optimal route planning to avoid obstacles and reach designated targets. Our drone design has potential applications in various fields, including search and rescue operations, warehouse management, and indoor surveillance, offering a robust solution for autonomous navigation in complex indoor settings.
Goals
Currently, we are constructing our prototype for the drone. In the coming months, we will refine our system design and optimize its autonomous navigation and control mechanisms to enhance performance and adaptability. By the end of this semester, we aim to finalize the design of our drone, ensuring that it meets the necessary technical and functional requirements. In the following semester, we plan to put our work to the test by participating in a competitive tournament, where we hope to demonstrate the drone's capabilities.
